Welcome to the
St Andrew’s Society of the Netherlands
If we can re-start our dancing in September 2021 it will have been a full year and a half since we initially cancelled our regular dancing due to the CORONA VIRUS. That we may be able to re-start our dancing will been thanks to the success and uptake of the various vaccines on offer. We hope to know more around mid August 2021.
Welcome back to our updated (July 2021) website :
We are a group of people who like Scotland, especially Scottish Country Dancing. We are based in and around Den Haag.
Our other big news is that we are changing our location. The British School at Diamanthorst has been our “home” for nearly 10 years, but is not accepting evening bookings for the year ahead. We have been fortunate to be accepted by the Church of Our Saviour as tenants in their Atrium.
The Church of Our Saviour is near the centre of Den Haag on the corner of Bezuidenhoutseweg and Koningin Marialaan; its Atrium that our club will use is behind the church on the corner of Koningin Marialaan and Helenastraat.
We hope to have dancing classes most Friday nights from September to March and probably a few in May. We are also planning to have 5 annual events (ceilidhs and other dances) during the year – in September, November, January, April and June.
